What is Concavity?
Concavity is a measure of the curvature of a function. For a quadratic function f(x) = ax² + bx + c, the concavity is determined by the coefficient 'a':
- If a > 0, the function is concave up (∪).
- If a < 0, the function is concave down (∩).
- If a = 0, the function is linear (no concavity).
